Unprecedented Safety & Operability methodologies.

The Feasibility Study for the implementation of a new high efficiency Wet Chemical Gold Dissolution & Reduction process which will augment the existing gold refining capacity at Rand Refinery, was recently completed by Kemplant.

The process involves the chemical dissolution of gold bullion into solution and the subsequent reduction of solution to elemental gold to produce a very high quality, 99.999, product.

The first phase, a Piloting Plant for the above process is presently being installed and due for commissioning mid-year.

Depending on the operation of the pilot plant, the full scale production plant, phase 2, is scheduled to start with project execution during 2015
