Plant Engineering

Kemplant (Pty) Ltd is a chemical engineering company providing engineering, design, supply, project management, commissioning, plant operation & optimisation and similar services for the process industries. It has extensive “in-house” expertise and license agreements for supplying equipment and turnkey plant to a large cross-section of the industry, such as Chemical, Mining, Fine Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Automotive and Pharmaceutical. In particular, we specialise in:

Plant Layouts, Piping Designs & General Arrangements, Isometrics, Models, BOM’s, etc. Process/Plant Design Packages either to Basic Engineering stage or the complete Designed and Engineered Package to RFQ stage.

Plant and Process Studies including Feasibility Studies, Basic Engineering, Equipment designs, MEB, P&ID’s, etc.

Kemplant also provides Commissioning assistance and undertakes Plant/Process de-bottlenecking and process investigations on behalf of clients.

Research and Development forms an integral part of Kemplant’s Continuous Improvement Philosophy and is carried out via our Laboratory facility (out sourced) and “in-house” Pilot Plants.

Evaporator / Crystalliser Pilot Plant
A 500 kg/hr Pilot Plant is available for test work on various Effluents/Process Streams and can be configured as an Evaporator or Crystalliser.

Falling Film Evaporator Pilot Plant
A 250 kg/hr Pilot Plant is available for test work on non-scaling liquors for Evaporation Trials.

High Temperature Ceramic Filter Pilot Plant
A 500 m3/hr Pilot Plant is available for High Temperature Gas Stream Scrubbing Studies.
